i just bought a 91 club car 36v, but it had three 8v and three 6v batterys. all check good and cart runs fine. could i damage the motor or controller leaving like this or should i spring for three more 6vs? thanks
In order for the batteries to charge properly they all need to be the same voltage. If your cart has a controller and it's only rated for 36 volts the extra voltage will damage the controller eventually.
it will also slowly melt cables you,ll never know while its breaking down every other week that its the battery voltage doing it .......i have seen lots of carts like that carts with lots of problems......as soon as you get the right batts. problems go away.................................
