4ga cables

Hi, I have 1987 EZGO with 6ga cable and i want to change them to 4ga. How many of the cable's do i need to change?

If you want to do it right change every 6 gauge cable to 4 gauge.

What's the strand count. If it's around 400 it will work well.

The Ultra Flex cable has 1,666 strands.

That would work well if the jacket is made for harsh environments like welding cable.

Does anyone know how much cable is needed to replace all the 6 gauge cables? Like 10' 20' ??? I can't imagine it would be 25'. Does anyone know or have a link to the measurements off all the cables so I can make them all at one time?

I can take all my cables off and then measure them but I would rather ask if someone has already done this. I'm going to order the cable from the internet so I want to make sure I order enough cable but not too much. This stuff ain't that cheap.

It all depends on the year, brand and model of cart. 25-30' would do most carts.

Sorry. That makes sense. I've trying to upgrade the wire on my 2001 (older) Electric EzGo PDS.

Ok a PDS cart already has 4 gauge going to the motor so if they're in good shape you really don't need to change them. To do the rest 20' of cable should be more than enough if you leave the stock 4 gauge cables going to the motor...

25' will be enough to do all the cables.
