48 volt PDS

I have a EZGO PDS w/ an alltrax 300 amp controller and a stock motor. My question is will the stock motor handle 48 volts? I know the alltrax will and that I will have to replace the solinoid and possible cables......

we do it all the time... it will wear out the stock motor faster

Thanks...I've done it with a series cart but never w/ a PDS. wasnt sure if the motor would handle it. I will give it a try....now the question is do I go with 8 6volts or 6 8volts...guess if i go w/ 8 6 volts I could still use the 36 volt charger and an additional 12 volt charger

Eight 6 volt batteries will give you more run time and yes you can still use the 36 volt charger and a 12 volt charger on the other 2 batteries.
