First what year is the golf cart and is it regen or not? What type of F&R do you have the lever or the rocker type switch? Have you tried your charger on another cart? If not do so and if it works than we know its not the charger You need 36 volts for your charger to come on anything less than you have to charge them with an automotive charger or bypass the low voltage sensor in your charger. If your charger works on another cart than your problem could be a bad OBC which is not uncommon at all. Have you have checked your cables to make sure they are clean and tight? Don't look at them grab them pull tug and twist. Let us know what you come up with but all things being equal I would concentrate on OBC and again this is not an uncommon for a 48 volt Club Car.

H/R, THIS IS THE THING. THE ON BOARD COMPUTER HAS BEEN BY PASSED. YEAR OR 2 AGO.I GOT THE CART SMASHED UP. I HAD AN OLDER MODEL CART. WHAT I DID WAS TRANSFER THE 1995 CART TO THE 1986 FRAME. IT RUNS BUT WILL NOT CHARGE. OF COURSE AFTER I FIXED IT THE KIDS RAN THE BATTERY DOWN. ALL THE BATTERIES ARE AROUND 7.3. THE CHARGER DOES WORK IN A FRIENDS CART. I SIMPLY PUT EVERYTHING BACK WHERE IS WAS. I DID CHECK THE WIRING FOR THE ON BOARD I UNDERSTAND IT TO BE THE SMALL GRAY CONNECTS TO GRAY OUT OF CHARGER UNIT AND THE HEAVY BLACK TO THE B- ON CONTROLLER...YES? THEN BLACK OUT OF ON BOARD TO #6 NEG? AS WE SEAT RIGHT NOW I ONLY HAVE 46 VOLTS.

Did you check the fuse on top of the cart charge receptacle? Lift seat and look at it its looks like a peice of lead wire under that clear plastic housing, 46 volts is more than enough for your charger to come on. So what happened for it to quit charging? Since charger works on another cart it has to be your cart not the charger. Any info you can think of that might have happened before this started?

Well I found out how to wire my charger. I have a 1995 powerdrive 48 club car with a power drive charger. I put the red wire on #1 Positive, the black wire on #6 negative and the gray wire with the inline fuse on the #6 negative also. The gray wire triggers the relay inside the charger. I plugged it into an outlet timer and it worked great! This is how I got around the OBC on my cart.
