Has any one switched from 4 12v batteries to 6 8v batteries in a 2006 Club Car Precedent? If so what has to be done to complete the conversion?

Welcome to the forum...

You'll need to modify the battery rack or you can by a conversion kit form Club Car. Other than the rack you won't need anything else but the batteries...

Does the conversion kit come with the extra battery cables?

Check with your Club Car dealer, there is a complete conversion kit available.
The dealer charges about $350-$400 for this conversion kit and it comes with a new battery bucket, wire harness, OBC4.0, component mounting plate and safety stickers.
The Club Car part numbers are:
AM1275201 - Precedent 12V TO 8V Conversion Kit - $345
103368401 - Precedent Electric Battery Bucket Assembly - $71.10
Batteries are not included.
