3-Wheel Columbia Golf Cart Buzzes When Starting

Hi,

We just got a Columbia 3 wheel golf cart and the only ID is 3B-20112-C6. There is a gold square box near the muffler that buzzes when the key is turned to start and trying to start the golf cart. I've never messed with golf carts before but have experience with outboard motors, lawn equipment, car, trucks and so forth. Whatever you can tell would help. An electrical diagram would help too. Thanks.

Well, I just found out that the gas pedal has to be pushed to start the thing. I still don't know what the gold part is though.

Anyone know where to get wiring diagrams?

Is there a kill switch that can be taken out so the motor won't die?

Can the carts be converted to idle? Is there a shutoff switch in the gas pedal?

Is the number I posted the model number? Thanks.
