290 kawasaki carburetor

I have a 98 gas club car ds with a 290 kawasaki engine. Previously I posted a question about adjusting the gov to level out the idle. I have installed a clutch tuning/power kit which allows key start and for the engine to idle. By adjusting the carb, I was able to level out the idle but there is a fine line between the clutch engaging and the engine shutting down. It is my understanding that the carbs on these things do not have an idle circuit with the idle controlled by the butterfly only, so the engine shuts down at low speed. My question is [if I wanted to pursue it] could a carb for a kawasaki mule be used as a replacement? Looking at the diagram, it looks similar, and would probably have an idle circuit. I'm new to golf carts, so please let me know if I'm on the right track here.

I've got the black wire off the micro switch in the governor box and it runs at idle with foot off the throttle at a crawl Want to stop it? Put it in neutral.
Now all I need to do is find the wire that will defeat the governor on the high end.
