2019-ish Club Car Throttle/Power Issue

Hi all,
Hoping someone has experienced this before. I have a roughly 2019 year Club Car, not sure of the model, gas powered cart. It's only about a year and a half old, bought brand new. The other day I was driving it back through my neighborhood, I let off the gas to take a turn, and when I pressed the gas again, I felt a slight pop and the cart lost all power. It idles just fine and seems to run just fine, but when I press the gas it has next to 0 power, forward or reverse. it does have a very small amount of power as it goes about .5mph but sounds like it's idling. It does seem as though it is getting some gas to the engine but not much. it doesn't sputter either when the gas is pressed. seems like it's running ok just not getting enough gas or something.

I have 0 experience in this arena but it seems like the throttle cable may have come loose or broke in some way? the pop was felt right around the gas pedal by my foot. the gas pedal also doesn't feel any different than it normally does in terms of resistance when pressed. There are no noticeable cables detached/broken and everything looks in order. Any one have any suggestions on what I can check?

I did actually. It turns out there is a small peg that is part of the gas pedal that the throttle cable hooks on to. that peg broke off the pedal. in order to fix it, I have to replace the entire gas pedal. I can post pics of the part that broke off if it helps!
