2010 Fairplay Won't Move

Check pin 3 for power key on. If you have power and relay clicks pin9 supplies power to pin 23. if all that works you have a bad controller. If pin 9 has no power controller bad.
I have issue with the code 54 on my 2009 FairPlay. I have found and replaced speed sensor , tried a new controller and still have the code 54. Any help would be so appreciated

All brand new batteries and connection are all secure. I have two plug connectors into the controller one with most wires and one with only three wires in the connector. I have unplugged the three wire connected and cart runs the same with it being disconnected as when it’s connected. Not sure if that is a tell of anything.

Zman. Good Morning my name is Ron, I am having issues with a 2009 FairPlay 48 volt cart. It's in limp mode (running slow) has brand new batteries, brand new speed sensor, I tried replacing the controller with a brand new one and still have a code 54 . I can unplug the speed sensor connector from the controller and still runs the same . Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have been trying to research and fix for about two months now. No one in my area will work on the cart

So you have a curtis controller? ohms check each wire from speed sensor connector tp the 3 wire connector at controller. code 54 is a walk away relay or wiring problem for your roll detection. Also check to see if there any blown fuses. Was the magnet on back of motor still in one piece?

I just replied to your old post from thursday. You still haven't said if you have a which controller you have.

The magnet looked ok when I changed it and the speed sensor. Didn’t look broken. Only have two fuses at the same location as the controller 20amp ceramics and look ok ? Have two other fuses at the silver box on drivers side and both are good. No ohms at all at the speed sensor connector @ the controller.

what was the ohm reading with the fuse out of the holder ?

I’m confused on this. You said if you have power to pin which supplies power to 23 of it all works controller is bad. But then you say if there is no power to 9 Then the controller is bad.

Zman, I’m a novice with electrical things. I have tried to check this pin 3 for power but I’m not getting any readings. I tried to put probe in connector and then other to metal on frame and nothing. Not sure how to actually get a good ground. I will say that from checking stuff I do have back up alarm working which never did before and also the walk away if the cart moves with key on alarms which never did before.

If you don’t have power at pin 3 then you need to find the fuse highlighted on the diagram above and make sure power is making it through.

Also it’s blowing the walk away fuse every time I replace it
