Anyone suggest a staple size for the cover?

Acceptable to cover over the old torn cover or best to remove it?

I would tape up the tears and cover over the existing vinyl

I would use as long as possible; maybe 3/8". It depends on how hard the plywood is and whether the staples will sink into it

I use the 3/8” staples, works fine. Going over the existing cover will be way easier but the seat won’t be as supple because of the extra vinyl thickness, may be a plus if being used heavily.

If I remember correctly, when I did mine I used 3/8” staples and went over them all with a small hammer to make sure they seated properly. I removed the old seat covers but mine were in worse shape than yours.

Whats the shock life on carts?

I'm thinking abuut new front and rear shocks with a new bushings

Are they leaking? If not they are usually fine, you can unbolt one end and push up and down to test, should have resistance. I’d rather run original OEM shocks (which are made by Monroe on EZGO and Club Car) over Amazon special china shocks.

Maybe I'll try removing the lower mounting bolts to see if they still have resistance.
