We have A 2007 club Car 48 volt . it was running slow and the 2 batteries after testing tested bad. we replaced all 6 , inspected the system, cables , connections etc, all looked good . The police who operate this patrrolling the parking lot, says that it`s no different than before and that these new carts have A computer chip or module that won`t let it go fast because it programmed itself in the slow mode. I`ve never heard of such A thing

but I thought I`d run it by you just in case. The batteries measuring across the 6 battery spectrum is 52.5v

the cart have a OBC ( computer ) that controls the charging system.........also keep in mind you need to break the new batts. in.......that takes approx 12 to 15 complete charge cycles as new batts. are only about 80% ...........once you plug charger in leave it plugged in until charger goes off thats very important................after your break in peroid 12 to 15 cycles you will notice a difference in speed and runtime between charges................very important to break them in right................................................

If your cart is an IQ cart you can take it to a dealer and have it turned up to private mode setting 4. What is the serial number on the cart?

According to our fleet spec sheet ( I`ll have to go out and visually confirm this ) the serial # is AQ0337-323939 Thanks

That cart can be turned up, a dealer will have to get the the code from cc and install it for you. Setting 4 should get you 19.6 mph.

I called the local dealer, gave him the VIN and # on the controller and they ordered the high speed code. Took it yesterday to have it downloaded only to find out that it already had the high speed in it

and because there was A little play in throttle pedal bearings, it was only going to about 71%. I guess I should`ve checked that first. I don`t have the scanner he had and I`ve paid more than the $75.00 yesterday to learn something. I really didn`t think that little bit of play would make such A difference

You talking about taking the slack out of the go pedal? The pot metal does get worn on these things.
