2005 EZGO PDS

I JUST BOUGHT MY FIRST CART ITS A 2005 EZGO PDS 36 VOLT AND NEED SOME HELP. I ONLY USE IT AROUND THE CAMPGROUND AND I'M NOT LOOKING TO TRICK IT OUT TILL WINTER BUT WOULD LIKE IT TO GO JUST A LITTLE FASTER WITHOUT CHANGING THE CONTROLLER FOR NOW. I'VE BEEN TOLD OF A SPEED CHIP FOR THE PDS ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREAT!!! THANKS MIKE

Welcome to the forum...

The speed chip will get you to 19+ MPH. They cost $10-$20 depending on where you get it and plugs into the controller. Do you know which chip is in the cart now?

No I don't and I really wouldn't know the difference. I'm going to have to pull the cover off the controller and see whats there now.

If you put the cart in diagnostic mode you can tell which chip is installed by the number of beeps. Here's a link that shows the codes for the different chips.

I can make you a chip harness if you want. It gives you all 4 settings and you don't have to get off the seat to change them.
