Our 05 electric Carryall has learned how to sing and forgoten how to go. This unit is our service cart and has had a new set of batteries this spring. The batteries were just getting to the point were they were working well (exercised enough) when I started to hear a tone while driving, sort of a buzz yet more musical in pitch. The following morning the cart sang it's new tune but refused to move. Solenoid clicks and you can feel the motor pull trying to drive but without any power. I jacked up the rear wheels and pushed the accelerator and the wheel(s) spin very slowly THEN the absurd thing happens... while checking the FNR switch for heat (none) wth my hand all of a sudden the motor speeds up to normal. Take my foot off and try it again and it's back to slow speed until I touch the FNR switch ...speeds up again. Thinking I'm on to something I check all the connections (the switch is new) and they're all good. Couple more times of speeding up when I touch the FNR switch and now it won't speed up. Carrying on checking for heat I put my hand on the solenoid (slight warmth) and the motor speeds up to normal again. So now I take all the bolted connections apart clean them from the controller and everything else I can find and while not finding any issues... upon reassembly, now everytime I step on the "gas" it runs up to normal speed without needing to be "touched" Thinking that it may work now I let it down to the ground and get another chorus of ZZZZinging and it won't move! Obviously this is something simple and I hope that one of you fellows that work on electric carts on a regular basis may have had a similar situation and suggest a direction. This cart has only 430 hours on it and has the 3.7 H.P. motor. It strikes me that this is a ground or load issue because of the way my hand affects the outcome. But I defer to those who may know. This is a 2005 Turf ll S0520-505792 new batteries this spring, new FNR switch recently, and a new MCOR (102101101) at the suggestion of the dealer service manager.
