2004 EZGO TXT golf cart proper gov adjustment

Hi im new to all of this just bought a 2004 ezgo txt and want to get more top speed out of it seems easy enough to me to adjust but it seems like i have read to do it properly you have to readjust other components as well could someone please let me know if this is true or not thanks

realy depends on how much adjustment you make i would make minor adjustments take a drive and see how it does. if you adjust to much you will hit the rev limiter you may not want to run the engine at those speeds not good for long runs by the way what engine does the cart have.
