Hey guys have not been on the forum lately ( computer crashed ) I'm working on a 2000 EZGO TXT for a friend just making some minor adjustments and tuning i need some help with a problem. When i move the f/r handle to either direction it seems it does not completly engage and when you accelerate it snaps into gear with a jerk and a pop when ever you change directions. Is this an adjustment issue or something more serious? This is the first 2000 model EZGO I have tinkered with and it is a little different from my 96. This golf cart has a pin that can be used to put tranny in neutral and I have never seen this before. I'm explaning this as best I can and I don't realy know what to do with this problem. Any help will be most appreciated.

Hey fixer, if its a single cable maybe try to loosen the spring tension on the rear end, even if its double cable, its worth a try.

Thanks I'll try that tomorrow. I went the other way and tightened the springs that sure didn't help any and while I'm here this cart has no torque when climbing a shallow hill or ditch seems to me that the clutch is not engaging as it should. When you start to climb the belt on the clutch slips a little. I thought at first it was the starter generator belt but tried it with the seat off and ruled that out. I replaced the s/g drive belt any way it was worn and cracked. I'm having a couple of problems that I've never had with this one, help me out. I'm through for the day now 2 service and tune ups and 4 wash jobs including mine I think that's enough.
