2003 EZ GO Txt is slow

My 2003 EZ GO Txt seems to go much slower than any other cart in our golf community. It also slows down considerably uphill. What can I do to speed it up? Could there be an issue with wiring? Controller? Not sure where to start.

I have never been able to complete a full round of golf without the batteries dying out also. I'm not sure if these could be related but thought I would mention it.

Hopefully someone has some advice.

Charge up your batteries, wait an hour and then take a reading of the battery voltages.
Post up the numbers for the total pack and each individual battery, I'm sure we can find your problem.
How old are your batteries?
