After the charger turns off we take the cart out in the woods and it lasts 15 to 20 minutes. It does fine going up hills but after a few hills it starts slowing down till it kicks out to a stop. We let it sit for 5 or 10 minutes and it goes again for a bit. It goes 10-15 mph on flat ground and doesnt seem to have a problem losing power. I have tested voltage once charged and each battery reads 8volts and after it cuts out it still reads 8 volts. Also tested the batteries using a hydromiter after charged they all read good and after it comes to a creeping stop they still read i the good. Any ideas on what the problem could be? Thanks in advance for your help!

If the cart is lifted with big tires and you still have the stock controller, you need a larger one with of at least 400 amps. The one you have is probably running into thermal overload and shutting down.

yes it has the big tires . we have had the cart since 2005. Bought it with the lift kit an big tires! Never had a problem with it until lately! Thanks for your input any other ideas! Could there be a short in the controler!? When we throw it on charge it only goes to 10 .and then goes to 5 and takes for ever for the charger to shut off. tested the charger and its good! When we go it takes off really fast and has lots of power! Goes for awhile and then shuts down! it seems it has a short in it that keeps draining the power. Thanks again!

If the batteries truly check out good and it is not the controller then it is a bad connection or cable.
