My friend has a 2000 txt ezgo and he has replaced the micro switch, battery and checked all cables, he replaced the solenoid as he thought that was it because it will run if you jump to the solenoid post but after replacing all that it still wont start. He is getting power all the way through to the solenoid. He also said he tested the inline fuse and that seems to be ok as well. I am stumped so does anyone have any other ideas on what it could be

Does the solenoid click when he pushes the gas pedal? Make sure you have a good ground connection on both ends.

Update
He couldn't figure it out so he took it to a EZGO dealer, turns out they sold him the wrong solenoid and there was nothing wrong with his old one or his micro switch so they spent about 3 hrs working on it, turned out there was wire broke off in the ignition box (I guess the ignition box was getting current and acted like it was ok) so they slapped on a used one and only charged him for that part, they even credited him back for the solenoid he purchased and gave him the new micro switch for free and NO charge for labor (WOW).

There is no such thing as wrong solenoid! I can make your EZGO run using a ClubCar or Yamaha solenoid for as long as the voltage is the same, 12 volts, that is.

Yes they sold him a 36 volt solenoid that was intended for a electric cart. When he only needed a 12 volt solenoid
