i have a buddy with an ezgo txt, he installed 2 solenoid in his cart, so he could add a toggle switch to make it easier for his kids to drive. problem is this: he just called from the campground the cart will not move! he tell me all the normals stuff is right 36 volts in the battery pack , going in and out of the controller and solenoids. he ask me about by passing the reed switch, he tested it, and it has current going through it. so the next thing i told him to check was the throttle sensor. any ideas out there. he pretty sharp so the easy stuff i'm sure he's done. thanks for your help bcgc

If he's getting power to the controller the reed switch is good. Without knowing how wired it it's going to be hard to diagnose without seeing the setup. If the cart ran before the mod it's more than likely a wiring problem with the solenoid setup he added...
thanks , i suggested the same thing. it driving him crazy, i'm only helping, but i have to say i laugh a little because he's hell bent on making his cart faster than mine. i would never point him in the wrong direction. i'm hoping he figures it out on his own, but i have a funny feeling its going to be coming thru my door either on it own or thrown through!!!
