1998 EZ Go TXT DCS Cart

I am a newbie. I want to upgrade my Golf Cart. I have a 1998 EZ Go TXT DCS model. Please help as to where to start. Cables, controller, motor, lift kit, tires, etc.

The DCS carts are known for strong motors, poor controllers and they don't like low voltage.
What are you going to do with the cart? Neighborhood cruiser? Hunting?
What kind of terrain will it be on? Hard surface? Trails? Hills?
How fast do you want it to go?
 
It will be driven on pavement, possibly on some lawns in our neighborhood.

It has some hills in the sub-division.

I would like it to go 25 MPH if possible. Is this possible? Is faster eventually possible?

You will need to upgrade your controler to 400 amp, upgrade battery cables to 4/0, and last but not least jump it up to 48 v

I am willing to spend a moderate amount to get more speed. Not thousands upon thousands of dollars, but I'm thinking I am going to have spend around $800 or so to get some better speed. Is that a legitimate amount to expect to spend to hit 25 MPH.
