1996 G16 Yamaha golf cart

New Member
I have a 1996 Yamaha G16 (golf cart) that has a growl and I have isolated it by removing the drive belt. It appears to be coming from the secondary sheave/transmission area and I suspect the input ass’y shaft bearing(s). I would appreciate any inputs that would enlighten me as I remove the secondary sheave and transmission input ass’y shaft bearings(removal hints/special tools, etc). Can this be done without transmission removal from the cart?
Your experience would be appreciated, Russ
