I have been attempting to troubleshoot my 1990 EZ-Go that just quit running a few days ago and the solenoid does not click when the accelerator is depressed. I have attempted to test components, but I am beginning to realize that I need to test in a specific order beginning with the batteries. I have 37 v total, with individual batteries ranging from 6.12 v to 6.25; however, when I checked specific gravity with a hydrometer one battery had a cell with a specific gravity value < 1.1 (all other batteries checked Good for all cells). Would this cause the solenoid to not work properly, and will this cause further testing of components to be a waste of time? If it is ok to continue testing components, would the solenoid be the next component to test? A good troubleshooting chart would be very helpful if anyone knows where I can locate one for this cart. Thanks for your assistance!
