1988 ezgo radio problems

I put a am/fm cd player in my 1988 gas ezgo when the engine is not running it plays fine but when I get about half throttle the radio cuts out also the cd player cuts out also so I do not think it is antena related. Got any help. Thanks Hawk

is it powered from and grounded to the battery?

at first I did have both ground and power to battery but moved the ground trying to find out the problem. my stero takes 11 to 15 vdc. What I think is happening is the cart is putting out to many volts when you get the rpms up and going out of the range the stereo will work. Thanks. Can you help

thats my guess, i would put the cart on jack stands and clip on a volt meter to confirm the voltage through the rpm range.
