I am new to the golf cart hobby and purchased a 1988 EZGO. After getting it up and running briefly, I had a major issue with the wire connection to the starter generator. After a long run, the wire connected to the generator started to smolder and smoke melting the rubber cap. Can anyone help me out with what could have caused this, I'm hoping just the wires and connection are bad. Also, if anyone can tell me where I can find the generator wires I would appreciate it. Thank You.
