1988 E-Z GO

Just got a 1988 EZ GO that is not running. I just found this sight after spending a day of trying to figure this thing out. There are a couple of wires not connected and not sure how everything is suppose to be connected? I have looked at all kinds of diagrams but it is not showing the little black switch and the box underneath it that have little wires running from them. Not sure what these components are but when you press the pedal it moves pushrods and levers on them. I have all battery cables and motor cables connected right but all little wires running from ignition switch, solenoid and these other two parts are all a mess. Any help here with actual pictures or how these wires should be connects?

Sound to me some one has hacked it pretty good. Your prolly gonna need to post some pics of what your talking about. We might be able to help figure it out.

I have now figured out that my cart is a 1988 EZGO Merithon controller type cart. I need to know how the microswitch and potentiometer hooks up?
