I have a 1988 ezgo 2 stroke and i am lifting it! I took out all the front suspension and was woundering if it is safe to flip the front axil and remove the two shock brackets and the mount plates for the leafs and reweld them on the opisit side and make the 4 inch spacers to lift the front about 6 to 8 inches?

Welcome to Cartaholics.

You can move the spring mounting pads to the top of the axle with no problem. If you flip the axle it will throw off your caster and camber so you need to move the spring pads to the top and leave the axle the way it is stock.
