Thanks for the add. New to golf carts and picked up a 1985 Yamaha G2 fixer upper from marketplace for $250 bucks. Its in fair shape after cleaning it up. It sat for about 5 years but the previous owner said it just needed batteries. Of course it was too good to be true. Put it new batteries and and cables and got nothing. Replaced the solenoid with no change. Checked the charging button to see if it was stuck it wasn't. Manual says we should get a click from the solenoid when we press the pedal but we aren't hearing anything. Anything else simple we should check? Thanks in advance.

Check the ignition switch to make sure you get power to solenoid. You can also check start / stop switch on gas pedal.

There is also a two prong plug coming off of the main switch that isn't plugged in anywhere. I thought it might be the back up buzzer but I don't see anywhere it could plug in.
