1983 EZGO 2-Stroke Golf Cart Wiring Diagram

I'm not sure I posted this properly before.

I'm trying to find a wiring diagram for a 1983 EZGO 2-Stroke golf cart. I just bought it, and the wiring has been pretty cobbled up by the previous owner(s).

I'd appreciate any help.

Hi,

I seem to have gotten the wiring sorted out, but I can't get it to charge the battery.
The starter side works fine, and starts the engine in both Forward and Reverse, but the generator side doesn't charge.

Any idea as to how to isolate whether it's the starter/generator or the regulator?

I saw a suggestion somewhere that disconnecting the small green from the regulator and grounding it should cause the voltage output to go up, but when I tried that, the voltage stayed low.

I just hate to spend the money on a starter/generator if it's not the problem.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

If you jumper the regulator DF terminal to the D+ the gererator should charge. If it does check the wiring again and if it's ok i'd change the regulator. some regulators have a removable cover and the contacts can be filed.
