1983 EZ-GO 4 wheel electric cart

Does anyone know where I can find a service and wiring manual for a 1983 EZ-GO electric 4 wheel cart? The closest I have found is a 1989-1994.

One problem question- I turn the key on and turn to either forward or reverse and the cart immediately takes off. Only in neutral is it actually still. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum!
Jack up the back of the cart(wheels off ground) and jackstand it.
Turn the key on and tap on the solenoid and see if it stops.
If so, change solenoid.
If not, check micro on accell linkage.
If that's OK, I'd look into wires being hooked up wrong.
Did it just happen all of a sudden or was it like this when you got it?

Thanks Keyguy, I have all the batteries out at the monent cleaning it. I pulled the microswitch and solenoid and am taking them to the shop tomorrow. I assume they can check one with a meter.........thanks again
