I bought a 1974 EZGO recently for 100.00 and I'm going to do a restoration on it. It's coming apart to go to the sandblasters...lots of rust. I'll post pics as it goes along...just got the last body panels off today.
More pics....frame and bodywork back from the blaster...suspension in a crate...!!!
More cleanup to do....sad and lonely rearend waiting for hard to find parts...
I did some searching for the splined rear hubs that you need and didn't find anything. Hopefully one of the forum members see your want ad and can help you out with getting them. Good luck and keep us updated.
Thanks... I'm hoping someone has one on a shelf or in a shed somewhere...I found a local machine shop that does splining to axles may not be a problem...it's an adventure...
Well...after a lot of searching parts sites and pictures, it appears that my cart rearend is from a Harley....hubs look right...axles are 10 spline..Vintage has some...I'll contact them Monday and confirm my theory...
So...I picked up a Harley hub off eBay...it was a for a keyway axle...l bought a broaching tool and splined it...pic shows it partially done...still needs some hand filing but it will work....onward and upward...️
Well I got my hub splined....now I'm adapting an Ausco disc brake kit to the rearend. I've made plates that provide for the bearing retainer and felt seal. I'm machining and welding the caliper brackets tomorrow.
Rearend is finally done and hung in the newly painted frame....onward to brake cable and pedals, then front suspension...its all in a crate....more cleaning...uuuugh....it will be worth it when it's all done though...right...???
