Was just trying to get the thing up and running.........the old motor needs a new rod and piston.............if the "opposed" twin isn't any good. guess I get the old one fixed.

Opposed has less torque than a V and won't rev high at all. It is better than nothing, don't spend much on it.

Yeah, borrow that Mud Buddy motor(perfect)! :naughty:

Gotta have it for duck hunting. :)

If I could get it cheap it would do til I could get a better one and all I would have to do is swap them out.

I put a 18 Briggs opposed twin in my Hyundai and it scats , according to the radar unit in my son's patrol car on a paved road it will pull right near 38 mph, has enough torque to spin the tires when on dirt ( 20 inch tires ) cranks and runs great. I had to do a ton of fab work to get it in tho. I would have used a V twin if I had not had the old 18 already and it was running sweet before I started.
