Im having a problem on a 02 gas cart. It is charging at 17 volts. I came in in the middle of someone else working on it so here what i was told. The starter/generator has been checked. The voltage regulator has been changed. The wires have been checked. New battery. What I have done is install a completely different S/G, add grounds to the existing, jump another voltage regulator with all new wires and it still is over charging. Ive been working on carts for a couple years and have never had one do this. Thanks for any help.

I was checking it at the battery. I made another ground and ran it to the 1/4" bolt that holds the ignitor and everything grounds to it. And then to the batt and to the starter/generator ground.
