Hello. I am new to golf carting. i have a 02 ds that was working great until this spring. It started off with a beeper going off and the battery dying shortly after.I carried it back to where i bought it they put new batteries in and said it my take a few cycles for them to get fully charged {longer charge life}. The beep stopped but sometimes the charge lasts for days, mostly just one day if lucky.Sometimes when you go up a hill it just dies { immediately after beeing charged all night}.It currently is at he shop again but I am loosing confidence in them. :

I am open for suggestions.

Welcome to the forum...

It sounds like the controller my be going into thermal shut down. Is the cart lifted?

On a PDS cart you can put them in diagnostic mode and get codes if there's a problem.

Sorry I cant always respond quick. Thanks for the info , the cart has a 4" lift with 10" tires cd /radio, lights. But the battery performance just all of a sudden fell off. I will pick it up Friday, and try this diagnostic procedure and maybe change to 6/0 wires. Any other suggestions ?

Try diagnostic mode first and see if you get any codes. It could just be a bad connection so check them all on every cable. It could also be a bad solenoid. If it's the solenoid you'll get a code from diagnostic mode...

ez go is fixed. I bought a set of replacement wires 4/0 nothing larger was available on the shelf. Removed all six batteries cleaned and charged individualy, while changing all battrey wires ,just changed the lugs on the wires going to the motor.Coated all connections with grease just spent alot of time tinkrering around waiting on the batteries to charge. Tested the batteries put them in and went on a four beer ride, came back and the kids took it for the day, works great. Sunday afternoon it needed charging, hooked it up, while consuming another beverage in the shop we heard a loud pop like a breaker tripped. We noticed the charger gauge was on 0 no noise. We had power to the receptacle, a friend took the charger apart and found a cracked fuse. After installing an engineered by pass the charger worked fine. Since then I installed the correct fuse and no problems. THANKS FOR ALL THE REPLIES, THEY DID HELP ALOT.

It may be of some help for the rest of the forum users to know the BRAND of beverage you were consuming when this fix occured. That way, should we ever encounter the same problem, you could save us hundreds of dollars in beverage cost and we could just go right to the correct beverage and begin to consuming it right away.

'Cause you know, I hate when I start drinking this and it doesn't work, so you gotta change that only to find out it's not gonna work........it's a vicious cycle!
