Club Car Golf Cart Wiring Diagram 48 Volt Series

can someone help me with this question. I have a 2000 Club Car DS that has been stripped down of ALL wires except the thicker ones for battery that come off of motor. In looking at sites this and one other, both show a different Potentiometer. One is V shaped like the one in your picture and the other is black and smaller. I dont know which one I need for my 2000 DS. The price difference in the 2 is huge. And where is it located on the cart?
