how do you find the year model
HotRodCarts
Look in the passenger side glove box for the tag with the serial number. The first two numbers indicate the year.

It could be a bad connection on one of the cables or a problem with the forward and reverse switch. Start with checking ALL the cable connections.

Sonds like one or more weak batteries. Hook your meter to the battery pack and see how low the voltage is dropping when your going up hill and the cart slows down.

ok could you tell me as to how to attach a meter i have a battery tester will this work
jeffcase
when testing the batteries all hold 6 volts dropping very little when hitting the load switch on battery tester

The way I check is with a digital volt meter connected to the battery pack. You can also check one battery at a time the same way. Connect the digital meter to the batteries and drive the cart and see how low each battery drops.
